Hamburger King in Shawnee

I love this place, I've eaten burgers all the way from high class to holes in the wall all over the US (My wife is a Chef so we plan trips around places to eat) this place is a great place that gives you the feel of a small town diner, grab some fresh Cherry Coke and a double bacon cheeseburger and watch as your life changes, from the best seasoned patty, to the fresh veggies and cheese on a toasted bun it will rekindle your obsession with burgers!

Fun environment with old school diner feel. You sit at your table and pick up a phone to place your order. The burgers, potato wedges, and onion rings were good. The staff was friendly and did a good job keeping our drinks filled. 3 stars because it was a bit pricey for the amount of food, but mainly because the pie wasn't any good. I know it's called "Hamburger King" not "Pie King," but the pie was disappointing enough to sway my rating.

Fantastic Burgers , homemade pies are delicious...been coming here for years , the atmosphere is the same ...my son's remember when I bought them here , years back now they bring my grandkids here. Employees are great. Fast service. And great food.

I've gone most of my life from early childhood to my late 20s, and I've never had a day where I didn't like the burgers, dinners, or pie. They're relatively cheap, less than $10 a person, and you leave full. They still utilize their phone system to order food from the table, and it's got an awesome atmosphere.

Great place for a good ole greasy burger and fries. They some good pies too. Something wrong with you if you don't think the pics below don't look good!!!

This is the hamburger destination of Oklahoma! Historical! It's been here forever. Hamburgers like nobody's business! Potato wedges or hand dipped onion rings. Pie made fresh daily! Dang good! Always busy. Clean, courteous and much more. Ya'll come on over.

I have been going there since 1998...love those cheeseburger baskets...

The place has really good burgers! That is not a lie! But the plates are kind of small compared to what people are accustomed to. The workers are nice and the place is clean. It's got an old school feel and look which is nice. Would definitely recommend this place for a good burger.

Had a great experience here. When you sit down at your booth, you call in your food order by using a land line type phone hanging on the wall. They answer across the room and then shortly your food arrives. The staff are very nice and the food is very good.

Frito chili pie is great! Love their hamburgers as well. Friendly staff and great food. Some go just for the pie and coffee. They make perfect got cocoa for the Christmas parade as well!

Food was amazing!!! Was very busy so thought it would take a long time, but was not that bad. The food, again, it wqs worth the short delay, absolutely delicious. One of our favorite burgers. Loved it. Service was outstanding too. Wish menu was online and accurate.

Very busy little place. We got in just before noon on Saturday and got the last both. People from then on were waiting in a line down the hall to be seated. We really enjoyed our lunch of the hamburgers and chicken strips. My only criticism was the onion rings were overdone, other than that it was really good and worth giving it a try.

This place is incredible. I'm here right now and I'm not sure I'll leave. I've been looking for the best burger in OKC since I moved here a year ago. It's about 45 minutes away from the city but I'll definitely drive back. Get the kicker if you enjoy spicy food, it's one of the best burgers I've ever had.

I thought this place was really neat, I was besides myself when I had to order with the phone in the booth...the staff was really attentive and nice, and the burger was really good! I had the kicker and it was definitely worth it! Potato wedges are the way to go and I was talked into getting a delicious dessert! They need wheelbarrows to haul people out after being that stuffed! Very good burger, even my 6yr old niece who is a picky eater ate all her food. You will get full. The onion rings are amazing.

Great old style burger on Main Street in Shawnee, Oklahoma. I was looking for my missing wife of 38+ years, Mrs. Shery Renee Stephens-Grant, and ran into the best cheeseburger I've had in years!If you get to Shawnee, Oklahoma be sure to grab the best burger around!

You feel like you stepped back in time. This classic dinner has a great burger, friendly service and a decor like the small town places in the 50's. The burger was great and the apple pie was great made fresh daily!! Good job!

Definitely on the top 10 best places to eat in Shawnee. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff is always super friendly. It is a historic restaurant and if you've never been you should try.

PICK UP THE PHONE!!! You guys take whatever excuse you can to close up shop. Seriously, I called one day to ask if they were open and the lady said “ No we are closing down because it started raining”.

No loud music. Very organized system by placing order from phone at each table. Food is great, fresh and hot. Prices are very affordable. Please see pictures of menu.

Very old restaurant but up to date in their service. They serve good chili; I liked it very much. A real family restaurant for young and old.

I went in at 2 PM on a Saturday expecting to find a light crowd but I was surprised to find the restaurant almost at capacity. The place was clean and neat. The double meat burger and tater tot's were tasty and cooked just to my liking. That would've been enough for a meal but I saw the monkey toe pie on the menu and had to give that a try. Wow. This place has been in business since 1927 and for good reason. This is a must try if you're in the area or even close to the area.

I've given myself an excuse to go back, as I decided to sample the chili and the onion rings.The chili was delicious, the onion rings were crisp, and the key lime pie was zingy. My husband ordered the Kicker burger, and pulled away from the table satisfied.

My first time here and it was pretty good, it's a neat way to order thu the phones. All in all a good time.

Lots of history here. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is made to order and tastes great. Placing your order over the phone is nostalgic and fun. Kids especially love the novelty of the phones. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Shawnee. Not many like it left.

Always a great place to eat! We each had a chief salad and shared a club sandwich! Fantastic,!! I always want pie too, but was trying to behave!

Their Chili has beans.When busy the line starts in the hallway.For our first visit we were pleasantly surprised. Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and best of all the food was good. Their burgers are genuine old fashion hamburgers, not like fast food burgers or modern burger joints. Tables were kept clean. Oh and their pie really is amazing. Great lighting and affordable pricing.
